My new addiction...

...is coloring with my Copic markers. Todays lesson involved using colors that were not in the usual blending group.
Here's an example. These balloons used two colors that are very different, but I was able to blend them successfully. (I think!)

Copics Coloring

I have joined an Online Card Class: Copic Markers for Card Makers. I have had most of my markers for years, but never actually took lessons on using them correctly. I have watched you tube videos made by the ladies who are teaching these classes, and love their work, so I decided to join the class. Best thing about these classes is the videos are available forever....so I can refer back to them as time goes on and I forget the lessons.

Coincidentally, I needed to make a birthday card for my son, so after practicing on other images, I completed this one. I used a piece of Gina K pure luxury(120lb) for the card base and decided to make it a one layer card.

I love that the paper did not allow any colors to bleed through, but I also noticed that the memento tuxedo black that I used smeared a little around his face. I was going for a dirty faced little boy, so I wasn't too upset. My son lives in HI, and I was trying to get a beach effect on the bottom, but got carried away, maybe.

I can see that I need to especially pay attention to the skin coloring class. Looking forward to all the lessons.
