Autumn background

One of my fellow coaches(Carrie Rhoades) posted on her blog this idea to make background paper using acrylic blocks, inks and assorted fall stamps. I don't usually make background paper, but I thought it was a neat idea. I also have lots of fall/thanksgiving stamps and the gold splash that she used and do not have any fall designed paper(my usual go to for background prints), so here are two of the cards I made today with this technique. Because I sprayed the whole sheet with the gold splash, I decided to use the brush gold card stock for accent. All Products are FSJ, so if you are interested in purchasing of the stamps let me know.

Easy card design

I made these thank you cards to give to those helping with Hurricane Michael recovery along with another half dozen to use at church to welcome visitors(replaced "thank you" with "Welcome" of course. It is a great way to use those designer papers we all love, buy, and stash away. Let me know if you want dimensions of the cut pieces.

This is especially nice that the papers came from the same pack so the colors coordinate for mix and matching. Some pieces were just the opposite side of each other. If you want to buy the stamp set (it has matching dies available) that "Thank You" is from, let me know. After Nov. 1st you can buy it at 20% discount if you order from me.

A Good Time

My friend Graceann asked me to do a cardmaking workshop with FSJ products last week. These are the cards I designed for 12 guests, all friends we often stamp with. Let me know if you would like the directions to any of these cards.

Sponged with inks then stamped with wildflowers and sentiment.

Fussy cut out the poinsettia and holly.

Die cut the roses and sponged ink on top before gluing to the card base.

Color of leaves came from putting silks inks on a baby wipe.

All Purpose Monsters

Did you know monsters aren't just for Halloween? This set from the FSJ Holiday catalog is too darn cute to only use once a year.

I saw it decorating a birthday card or, in the card below, as a cute thinking of you hopes this makes you smile card.

If  you want to get your own set to play with, be sure to email me and let me know because it will not be available after Dec. 31st.
